Steve Shaffer is Founder and Chairman of Triple Crown Investments, a Colorado based investment firm which focuses on senior health care, food service and retail. Steve is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of leading early stage organizations. Prior to forming Triple Crown, Steve was President of Quiznos Subs, a $2.1 billion organization with over 5,400 restaurants. Steve joined the Quiznos organization in 1992 as the 18th franchisee and grew to become President of the organization. During Steve’s leadership the brand grew from 600 to over 5,400 units worldwide. In 2007 he retired after participating in the Quiznos private equity transaction.

Prior to Quiznos, Steve spent 20+ years as a merchandising and store operations executive, with Macys, Federated Department Stores and Carroll Reed.

Steve is currently a board member for the Make A Wish Foundation, Firefly Autism, Metro State University School of Innovation, SCORE, and volunteers for Share our Strength’s Cooking Matters and Street Reach.

A native of Georgia, Steve received his BBA from the University of Georgia. Steve and his wife Sue, reside in Denver, Colorado.
